GETA ARCHIVEMIYUKI HONPO

24 / Display & Care

How to display geta

When displaying geta, show not only the front but the side, sole, shadow, and rise of the hanao so the object reads in three dimensions.

What to observe

Consider plinth height, wall distance, light direction, and stability. Consult a specialist for attachment methods appropriate to the object and space.

Thinking as a collection

For display editions, a plinth, hardware, installation diagram, and storage note can all be part of the work’s specification.
